Members > Registration
Use and/or access to the Members Section and/or Project Areas constitutes agreement
to the following terms and conditions.
User Responsibility
All users must be Australian State or Territory Government employees and must have
and use a current government email address. Usernames can be chosen. However government
email addresses must be used in the registration process for validation and correspondence
purposes.
Access to the Members Section and/or Project Areas are password protected and will
not be allowed until registration has been validated and approved. New users will
only be granted access to relevant areas of the site. Once registration has been
approved, users will be sent an email containing their automatically generated password
(which should be changed on initial login, under the Profile tab).
Because of the high security status of information contained in the Members Section
/ Project Areas of the CAF Website, registered users must understand their accountability
in ensuring the security of CAF-IN-CONFIDENCE information, and the relevant protocols
and security provisions.
As a registered user, you must:
- keep you username and password secure and confidential
- immediately notify the CAF Secretariat if you become aware or suspect that another
person knows or has used your username and/or password
- not permit any other person to use your username or password, disclose your username
or password to any other person, or record your username or password in such a way
that another person may be able to access the secure section of the CAF website
- not attempt to access the Members Section / Project Area by using another password
or username, but only via the username and password assigned to you
- notify the CAF Secretariat if you cease duties that require access to the CAF Members
Section / Project Areas (e.g. termination of employment, relocation or secondment).
Forgotten Password
A registered user who has forgotten their password will need to answer their nominated
secret question. A new password will then be sent to their email address. Only government
email addresses registered in the system will be sent forgotten password emails.
Confidential Information
All information should be treated as CAF-IN-CONFIDENCE. Documents in the Members
Section / Project Area are highly sensitive and confidential and must not be accessed
by (or circulated to) anyone except registered users for internal consultation purposes.
User Log
Please note that a log will be kept of each user’s activities and usage throughout
the Members Section and Project Areas. Details recorded will include the server
address, the date and time of visit, the pages viewed, and any downloads made. This
will assist in determining use patterns of the Website and the popularity of different
pages/documents.
